Product detailed description

The book Children Want to Know Too is a tool for all parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and others who want to actively participate in the sexual education of children and provide them with quality and verified information without myths and stereotypes. It combines expert commentary with personal testimonies, model conversations, and interviews with experts in specific areas of sexual health, covering key topics such as children's sexual behaviour, child masturbation, sexual orientation and gender identity, and sex or sexual violence. It shows that parents can be the ones a child comes to for advice, that we can start talking about relationships and sexual health from a very young age, and that sex education is not just about putting condoms on a banana and handing out pads.

Authors

Mgr. Dagmar Krišová and Mgr. Marcela Poláčková are experts in sex education and the prevention of sexual violence. They have been cooperating for a long time with the Konsent organization, where they create sex education methodologies for teachers and materials for parents. In addition, they conduct sexual violence prevention workshops in primary and secondary schools and teach adults how to talk openly with children and adolescents about intimate topics.

Dagmar Krišová is a social educator focusing on gender and sexuality in education and sex education.

Marcela Poláčková is a psychologist; she deals with preventing sexual violence and secondary victimization of people who have experienced sexual violence.

Johanna Nejedlová founded Konsent in 2016. Today we have thousands of hours of workshops in schools, and hundreds of people trained on campus and in companies, bars, clubs, and other organizations. For example, we have also been advocating for a long time to amend the definition of rape. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram, where we're busting myths about sex and relationships with little one-liners every day.
